This notice explains how BroadSolve handles information when you visit this website or get in touch about engineering work.
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Who is responsible
BroadSolve is an independent engineering and technology consultancy based in Norwich, UK. BroadSolve is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. For questions or a data protection request, email hello@broadsolve.com.
When you contact BroadSolve
When you email BroadSolve, your message may include your name, email address, company details and anything else you choose to share. BroadSolve uses this information to reply, talk through what you need and keep a record of the conversation.
The legal basis for business enquiries is “legitimate interests” — replying to you and running the business. If you’re asking about a contract in your own name, the basis is taking the steps you’ve requested before agreeing a contract. Some business records also have to be kept by law.
A short outline of what you need help with is enough to start. We can agree how to protect any confidential project details before you send them.
Website visits and cookies
This website has no contact form, advertising, visitor analytics or embedded content from other websites. Its pages do not set cookies or store information in your browser. Fonts and graphics are hosted with the site.
Cloudflare provides website hosting and security. It may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, request times and browser details to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies where its protection features require them. The lawful basis for this processing on BroadSolve’s behalf is the legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website.
Service providers and sharing
BroadSolve uses Microsoft 365 for email and Cloudflare for website delivery and security. Information is processed through those services where needed for those purposes. Relevant records may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where needed for advice, legal obligations or legal claims. Enquiry details are not sold or used to add you to a marketing mailing list.
Microsoft and Cloudflare operate international services, so information may be processed outside the UK. Their data-protection terms include safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum where required. You can ask BroadSolve for more information or read the Microsoft data-protection terms and Cloudflare data-protection terms.
How long information is kept
Enquiry records are reviewed when the enquiry is closed. They are kept only while needed for an active discussion, reasonably expected follow-up, or the handling of a complaint or legal claim. Relevant project and business records are kept for the period required by applicable contractual, tax and legal obligations. Records are deleted when those purposes no longer apply.
Hosting and email providers also process operational records and backups under their service terms and retention settings. Their retention periods depend on the service and type of record.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law. BroadSolve does not use your information for automated decisions or profiling.
You can object to the use of your information where BroadSolve relies on legitimate interests.
Contact hello@broadsolve.com to exercise a right or raise a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
